Where do our Zebra Hides Come From
All of our zebra skin rugs are from the Burchells Zebra (Equus Burchelli). Unlike the Hartman’s Zebra and Mountain Zebra, Burchells zebra are prolific and are not an endangered species. The zebra hides we sell are from South African and Namibia sponsored culls. These Zebra rugs are imported legally and inspected by US Customs and US Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Our Zebra Skins are hand-selected by our African Tanneries before the zebra tanning process begins to ensure that our Zebra skin Rugs have no major scars which could have occurred from predator attacks from living in the wild.
